I play several of these little KALA basses. I put these on my solid body, which tilted the sound away from sort of "stand-up bass" towards "Fender bass guitar" And for the group I play that guitar in - it is perfect. Old Rock/Pop, lots of Beetles, Eagles, etc. But on my fretless hollowbody, I would not use them at gunpoint.
